HOW NOT TO DRIVE.COM

All crashes are caused by drivers who didn't care or didn't understand the rules, or both. Know the rules, follow them. Nobody breaks the rules, nobody crashes!

Please click on the links for more info about each type of accident. OK?

   TOP 10 MOST COMMON ACCIDENTS:

  1. Follow close/don't pay attention (rear-ender)

  2.  Ignore signal/don't signal (lane-changes)

  3.  Multi-task/turn fast (drifting out of lane)

  4.  Turn left (left turns)

  5.  Go after stop (stop signs)

  6.  Gun for the light (traffic lights)

  7.  Don't look far ahead and side to side for pedestrians/don't stop and wait for pedestrians to cross (pedestrians, and especially the definition of "unmarked" and "uncontrolled" crosswalks)

  8.  Signs? What signs? Who needs signs? (confusion/lack of info)

  9.  Drive like you always do when it snows or rains (weather)

  10.  Go crazy for circles, and other stuff that causes problems (etc.)

BONUS!

UNDERLYING MOST COMMON CAUSE OF COLLISIONS (As opposed to lack of adequate training):

Get emotional (click here for more info...) - Get happy, get mad, get sad; get frustrated, angry, pissed off, impatient, jealous, lazy, depressed, manic, sick and tired, bored to tears; get addicted to speed for the thrill you need - The biological and psychological nature of emotions when driving are meaningless, inconsequential and not important to you

And above all, don't remember anything you've read here while you're driving. Believe that none of this has ever happened to you, and it never will!
